Facilitation for Science Leadership
Making meetings matter and workshops work – for the organisation, the organiser and and the participants.
“Facilitation is the midwife of ideas” – Anon
Facilitation is an approach that actively involves and respects each individual’s input, fosters a sense of ownership, and helps unleash the collective potential of the group and its members.
The need for facilitation has come from demands from the workplace. It has become more important to enable more active participation – where people willingly contribute their creativity and energy and take ownership of decisions that affect them.
As innovation and resilience become more essential, traditional top down styles of leadership and management become less appropriate.
As experienced facilitators we have developed and delivered successful workshops, events, and meetings to a range of clients working in the science sector and beyond.
We have facilitated workshop and events for:
Welsh Government – One-day workshop on payment for ecosystem services
Ted Rogers Center for Heart Research, Canada – One-day strategy workshop for the Translational Biology and Engineering Program
SMRU, University of St Andrews – One-day workshop on defining the future strategy of SMRU Strategy
