Peter & Martin
A little bit about us…
Martin Bloxham
Martin Bloxham holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Plymouth.
In his early career, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Associate Lecturer at the university, followed by a number of years working as an analytical chemist at the Irish Marine Institute. For 20 years, he worked as a United Nations international expert involved in strategic management of transboundary water systems around the world.
Martin has been fascinated by science and the environment from an early age. Although no longer a practicing scientist, he’s still passionate about helping scientists and science organisations develop future leaders.
Peter Redstone
Peter Redstone has a BA in Economics from the University of York and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
His working background includes management consulting with McKinseys, organic dairy farming and ice cream making, executive and non-executive directorships, and since 2008, co-founder of the Barefoot Thinking Company.
To Barefoot’s work, Peter brings a long term interest in the environment, creative thinking and leadership, along with a belief in the power of education and training to make a difference. He is regularly inspired by the optimism, energy and enthusiasm of the scientists that he meets and works with – and pleased to be of help to them on their journey.
